Hannah in the Park

My niece Hannah reached a milestone today as she turned 1 year old.  She's such a big girl now.  We spent her birthday at the park and although a bit chilly, the sun was out and we had a great time playing in the park.  Happy Birthday Hannah!

Sunday Morning with Nathalie

My and I met up with our friend Nathalie early Sunday morning for a photo shoot.  I've been talking to Nathalie about this shoot for some time and we finally got together for it.  Nathalie was looking for a certain vintage emo look to her photos so that was all I was thinking of the entire time while shooting.  Locations included this coffee shop called Crema Coffee Company and San Jose State.  Nathalie was so fun to work with and both My & I had a great time with her.  Here are some photos from our outing.

Annie and Ed's Wedding

What can I say about Annie and Ed's wedding?  It was lighthearted, entertaining, and classy at the same time.  From the Hollywood movie intro to the candy station to the photo booth, their wedding seemed to have something for everyone.  Entertainment included live music from country musician Troy Ferris and Charles the magician/doctor.  My and I were both so happy to see Annie and Ed get married.  My was one of the bridesmaids that day which allowed me to spend my time taking pictures during the wedding.  Congratulations Annie and Ed, you guys are perfect for each other.

The flowers along the aisle were just beautiful.

A candid shot of the bride with backlighting with my exclusive visitor's pass.

The back of the wedding gown is always one of my favorites.

A view down the aisle.  What a beautiful ceremony.

One of my favorites of the night.  The backlighting gave the image a little extra.

A toast to Annie & Ed, may you guys live happily ever after.

Ly & Toan E-Session SneakPeek

My and I had a great afternoon with Ly and Toan during their engagement photo session.  Although nervous at the beginning, both Ly and Toan were really easy to work with and felt relaxed in no time.  I loved how they got involved with ideas of their own later in the shoot.  Thanks for letting us be apart of your engagement shoot.  Here's a sneak peek of some photos from the photo session.  I hope you enjoy them.

Vikki and Derek's Wedding

Vikki and Derek held their ceremony at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church in San Francisco.  This was the first wedding that My and I attended in a Catholic Church and we both enjoyed the experience.  I was able to capture some nice photos from different locations including the balcony of the church.

The reception was at the Green Room in the San Francisco War Memorial.  Formerly a lounge for World War I veterans, the room featured high ceilings with beautiful chandeliers and a loggia facing the City Hall.  A very elegant reception location.  The centerpieces and menus complimented their color theme of yellow and brown.  Entertainment included a rigged game where the guests guessed the ages of Vikki and/or Derek when shown a picture, a photo booth, and a candy bar.  The night was capped off with great music and dancing.  We both had a great time at the wedding.  Thanks for letting My and I be apart of your special day.

Jennifer & Darren's Wedding

My and I went back to my hometown of Toronto, Canada to attend Jennifer and Darren's wedding.  We were hoping for the best with the weather as the forecast earlier that week called for rain.  Fortunately for bride and groom, the weather turned out to be beautiful that day and I am so happy it did.

The ceremony was held at the Sunnyside Pavilion alongside Toronto's waterfront.  It was very nicely decorated with gorgeous flowers and rose petal on a white aisle runner.  You know that it's summer time in Toronto as the flowers were in full bloom.  The musical trio added a touch of elegance to the ceremony.

The reception venue in the Victorian Ballroom at Le Jardin was very classy on its own featuring  high ceilings, an abundance of natural light and a fireplace.  The large dance floor made for a evening of multiple dance performances from the newlyweds.  We had an awesome time.  Congratulations Jen and Darren!

The focus on the select few rose petals here made this picture really stand out.

The flower bouquet was just beautiful.  I wanted to make it the focal point while incorporating the other details of the ceremony.

Jen and Darren's wedding was full photographers and had very limited space during the ceremony.
I took this photo while standing on a chair in the very back of the ceremony.

This is one of my favorites of the day.  A shot of the bride and her bouquet.

The final dip of their first dance.  I love the lighting in this photo.

The reaction of the bride and groom is priceless.  A great way to end the evening.

Irene and Matt's Wedding

Weddings in vineyard setting are probably one of my favorites.  That probably has to do with the fact that I love my wines.  I also love beer but I do not see any weddings held at breweries in the near future:)  Irene and Matt made the best of their venue at Elliston Vineyards.  The flowers and decorations complemented the decor of the venue.  The wedding ceremony had a beautiful backdrop of the lush greenery you find in Sunol, CA.  The cocktail hour which was held while the couple was taking photos allowed the guests to taste the fine wines Elliston Vineyards had to offer.  Thank you for allowing us to be apart of your special day.  Congratulations!

I saw the fountain as we were driving into Elliston Vineyards and thought it would make a good foreground for the venue.

I took this shot of the groom, Matt making sure that I also captured his best man in the background.

I love the way the wind carried the veil in this shot of the lovely couple.

I had to capture the back of the wedding dress as it was beautifully detailed.
